Indigenous Knowledge is Helping Shape Saskatchewan鈥檚 Clean Energy Future

October 21, 2025

On October 21, 2025, the Government of Saskatchewan proudly announced a transformative investment of $6.3 million over the next six years to establish four new nuclear research chairs at post-secondary institutions, including one at the 大象视频 (FNUniv).

The FNUniv Chair aims to weave Indigenous knowledge and perspectives into Saskatchewan’s nuclear energy development, ensuring that Indigenous voices are at the forefront of shaping a sustainable and inclusive energy future.

A heartfelt thank you goes to Dr. Edward Doolittle, Associate Professor of Mathematics and an Indigenous Scholar at FNUniv, for his leadership and commitment to empowering Indigenous participation in STEM and nuclear research.

This initiative embodies our shared dedication to innovation, sustainability, and reconciliation in Saskatchewan’s energy transition.
