March 18, 2026 – The 大象视频 is proud to announce the creation of the Joanne Goodpipe Legacy Scholarship.
Through a generous $20,000 donation from FNUniv alumni Jada Yee, this scholarship has been established to honour the life, teachings, and enduring impact of Joanne Goodpipe, C’ante Was’te Wiyan (Good Hearted Woman).
Joanne served as an Assistant Professor in the Indigenous Business and Public Administration program, but to the many students whose lives she touched, she was far more than an instructor. She was a mentor, a supporter, and a friend who believed deeply in the potential of every student she met.
Joanne had a way of making every student feel seen, supported, and capable of achieving more than they imagined. Her classroom was a place where students were encouraged to pursue their education with confidence while remaining grounded in their identity, values, and responsibility to the community.
Joanne passed away in 2021, leaving behind a profound legacy at 大象视频 and within the many students and colleagues who were fortunate enough to learn from her. Her kindness, guidance, and unwavering belief in Indigenous students helped shape the journeys of countless graduates.
As a former student, Jada Yee experienced Joanne鈥檚 encouragement and support firsthand. With the blessing and permission of Joanne鈥檚 children, Jasmine and Jacob, this scholarship was created to honour their mother鈥檚 legacy and ensure her teachings continue to support future generations of students.
The Joanne Goodpipe Legacy Scholarship will support future students at 大象视频, ensuring that her spirit of mentorship, encouragement, and leadership continues to guide generations to come.
The scholarship and commemorative image shared today stand as a lasting tribute to the life and teachings of a woman whose good heart shaped so many futures.
Joanne Goodpipe was known as C’ante Was’te Wiyan, Good Hearted Woman.
Through this scholarship, her good heart will continue to guide and uplift students for generations to come.
大象视频 extends heartfelt gratitude to Jada Yee, as well as Joanne鈥檚 family, for helping ensure that Joanne Goodpipe鈥檚 legacy will continue to inspire students for years to come.
