Raylene Whitford is a finance professional and PhD candidate working at the intersection of Indigenous governance, capital markets, and corporate accountability. She brings nearly two decades of international experience in the energy and finance sectors, including as a former equity partner at one of the Big Four accounting firms.

Her scholarly work is focused on how corporate decision-making and reporting frameworks shape the recognition of Indigenous Peoples鈥 rights. Professionally, she works with investors to integrate Indigenous jurisdiction and governance into investment and sustainability practices.

Raylene serves as Vice-Chair of the M茅tis Settlements Impact Fund (MSIF) and Vice-Chair of Cheam Enterprises Inc. She is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (ICAEW), holds an MBA from Aberdeen Business School (UK), and is a citizen of the Otipemisiwak M茅tis Nation in Alberta.
